We are in the process of developing capabilities within our centralised Mendix Centre of Excellence team based within UK IT. This team will promote the Mendix platform, define and implement governance on the platform and offer technical support for the development and support of Mendix products.

We are currently looking for a certified Mendix Advanced Developer to help with new and ongoing projects.

Role

You will be one of the first Mendix developers in our team which consists of many talented and highly experienced IT professionals. You can expect to be working in an environment consisting of a wide range of technologies with a lot of room for innovation. A big part of the role is education, advocacy and consultancy within and outside of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of new and existing enterprise and mission critical products considering best practices (security, scalability, availability performance)

  • Contribute to the definition of governance and guardrails on the Mendix Platform

  • Contribute to process definition and deliver documentation for the development and delivery of Mendix Products

  • Develop custom integrations for internal firm’s services

  • Produce and maintain documentation

  • Actively participate in a project across full SDLC

  • Support live systems

  • Participate in a firm wide low-code working groups

Required

  • Mendix Rapid or Advanced Developer certification

  • Proficiency in Javascript and T-SQL

  • Demonstrated experience with delivering wireframes, design mockups, vision boarding, user workflows, functional specifications, and style guides

  • Experience and solid understanding of various integration techniques with Mendix Platform

  • Experience of working in an Agile Software Development model

  • A solid understanding of HTTP model

  • A solid understanding of HTML, CSS and Bootstrap

  • Knowledge in object oriented or model driven development

  • Working knowledge of git and svn

  • RDBMS: SQL Server, Azure SQL

Nice to have

  • Experience as a designer or front-end developer

  • Knowledge of distributed enterprise systems concepts and design (scalability, reliability, security)

  • Proficiency in .NET C#, Powershell, JAVA

  • Experience with MS Azure, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS / GKS)
